The photos above show some of the preparation and form work that was done at an Assisted Living center in Falmouth MA. It also shows some of the finishing of the concrete. Four hundred linear feet of side walk were prepared, formed and poured in less than a week. The purpose of this project was to give the residents of this establishmennt a recreation area in the back of the building.
In order to acheive a sidewalk that will last it is necessary to make sure that all preparation work is done properly. This involves removing all top soil where the sidewalk is to be poured, and excavating down to undisturbed well compacted soil. The area is then filled with crushed stone and compacted. This sidewalk was poured at a home in Marshfield MA. It replaces a sidewalk made of uneven split face granite pavers. The original sidewalk was uneven and difficult to walk on. Eastern Pumpers removed the pavers prepared the surface and did all the necessary prep work before pouring and finishing the concrete. This resolved the problem of a sidewalk that was hard to negotiate, and added a more pleasing look to the front of this home. This work added value to the property.
